       Expression of Intrest

National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) is a national organization authorized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) to accredit computing programs to ensure and enhance their quality based on established policies, procedures, and pre-set standards of the council.

Applications are invited for the following positions:
1. One honorary position of Vice Chairman      for four years.
2. Six honorary positions of computing              professionals with PhD in a computing          domain from an HEC-recognized                    university, with minimum 5-year                    university-level teaching and research          experience in the same domain for four        years.  

3. Two honorary positions of             representatives from the software industry with strong academic background for four years.

Duties and Responsibilities

a) To participate in the General Council meetings
b) To formulate and review policies and procedures of the council
c) To provide input for the improvement of quality of computing education in the country
d) To advocate, pursue, and promote computing education accreditation in the country Preferred

Eligibility Criteria

a) For six honorary positions (position 2 above)
i. Professor or Associate Professor in a computing program at an HEC recognised public or private higher education institution (HEI)
ii. Ten years teaching, research, and/or management experience at an HEC-recognised 
iii. Trained NCEAC Program Evaluator with minimum 5-year experience
iv. The parent institution/department must have accreditation of its programs with NCEAC

b) For two honorary positions (position 3 above)
i. PhD from an HEC recognized HEI and trained NCEAC Program Evaluator
ii. CEO, shareholder, or CTO of a well-known software house

c) For Vice-Chairman (position 1 above) i. Must be eligible for the honorary position 1 or 2 as per preferred eligibility criteria.
Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum 20-year experience in academia and/or industry.
